I'm sure everybody has had a "waste money not save" phase at one point in their lives.
In other news, I got covered in alcohol, water and sweat, frontrowed Motorhead, didn't get knocked down in a moshpit and came out alive. Oh, and The Damned were the support act!

Does anyone here know anything about deep frying a full turkey? I want to try it, but I don't know how.

First of all...its not a good idea, the turkey must be COMPLETELY DRY or it will ....well, it wont be pretty and people could get hurt.
Secondly you do it outside preferably on a concrete surface (like a driveway or deck) and FAR AWAY from anything that can burn.....
thirdly----make sure that 911 is on your speed dial.
seriously there are probably websites that will share the proper way of deep frying a turkey, but its very dangerous to do if you dont know how.
Cooking it in the oven is safer and I think it tastes just fine that way.
OOOOHHH the countdown to turkey day 4 days!
(went out for lunch today so no dinner report )

no, but there have been quite a few cooking programs about it (and good eats did one with the fire department ON HAND while they tapped the show!). Not to mention every year on the news there is someone who has a house fire due to just this very thing.
I dont really like fried foods to begin with, and frying a turkey just .....is wrong. Baked is good nice and moist....
ok Now I am hungry.....

I am sure there is some fool somewhere who tried it indoors and lost their house. There is nothing better than a properly basted oven roasted turkey. Cosy, it is nice to see a mod bring all the usual Off Topic threads back into line.

Those shows almost have to have them on scene though otherwise insurance companies won't let them do it. Happened to Mythbusters once, they wouldn't let Adam do a stunt because it was to dangerous and the insurance company wouldn't let him do it.
Baked turkey is very good. Got to love it.

That sounds like a terrible idea. After turkey, the 2nd most popular thanksgiving meal is pizza. Yup.

Mmmm mashed potatoes. Can't wait for those either.
If you get banned from XBL I'm gonna laugh. Just don't mod it.
